Mrs. Sheryl Schnare has been a music educator for more than 30 years. She teaches all ages & stages in: piano, voice, music theory & history at Birdsong Studio, in her home in Medicine Hat. A variety of musical styles and genres are explored during lesson times:  everything from classical to contemporary!

Sheryl completed her Bachelor of Arts (honors) Music degree at Briercrest College and her ARCT Piano Teaching degree through the Royal Conservatory of Music.  She believes in the value of being a lifelong learner and continues to pursue professional development opportunities through music courses, workshops and conferences while serving as a board member for the Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association, Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Association and the Alberta Piano Teachers Association. Sheryl has toured with numerous ensembles and choirs across Canada, the northwestern United States and Brazil and is active in the Medicine Hat music community and the Rotary Music Festival. Mrs. Schnare provides free consultations for students interested in private music lessons and is available as an accompanist for hire. She is excited to work with you!
